APEX 2001
Stork Veco International attended the APEX
2001 in San Diego, California from January 16-18 2001. Stork Veco
presented the latest state of the art applications at this show.
The show was a great success according to the attendees and the visitors
in this growing business. At this show Stork Veco showed the standard
SMT stencil with its well known advantages i.e. lifetime, durability,
easy to clean, and paste release. Not only the Vecoplus
SMT for SMT (100-200µm) received a lot of attention but
also the Vecoplus
touch and Vecoplus
wafer (25-100µm). This stencil is a new solution for printing
problems with emulsion screens or other stencils with a large number
of apertures. The stencil assists customers with the printing of touch
screens, and wafer bumping. For other delicate printing applications
like capacitors, resistors, hybrids, PV cells printing the Vecodual
component and Vecodual
pvcell are unique stencils with qualities like extended
lifetime, consistency, and lifetime quality.

Besides our stencils, Stork Veco also presented the visitors of this
show electroformed and etched precision products. More and more electronic
companies become aware of the advantages of electroformed and etched
parts above stamped or laser cut parts. Good examples are lead
frames, evaporation masks, optical masks. The advantages especially
for electroformed parts are; very high precision, excellent repeatability,
ultra fine tolerances, and burr free, flat products.
